Hm..... so far 57% of the votes have been "Ask the bully to stop".  I guessed that choice would be a popular one, but I thought "Report to a teacher" would have more votes....... but that's what a poll tells ya. :p

Why do you want to join?;; I've seen too many people who have been bullied, and heard of too many suicides due to bullying. It's not that people need to know about bullying, they need to know how not to be a bully.

I am not sure the best way to stop bullying all together. It depends on the type of bullying and the bully it's self. Telling the teacher can help but in most situations can make things worse. The same goes with confronting them. Some get kicks out of it because they have been given attention for it. 
Ignoring them. Some stop because they aren't getting an reaction others carry on because they are getting away with it.
