@Mimie- so nice to see You in this club ^^ Can You tell me something more about the last book You listed- the monk who sold his ferrari, the title sounds pretty intriguing..
Sure,The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is bout a man who has a hard life and is going through a divorce, one day out of the blue, his mom calls him and tells him that his cousin has called him over to a foreign country {i forgot which one} the man has a flashback and remembers his cousin owning a grand ferrari.
Then the man goes to visit his cousin when he gets there he notices that his cousin has sold his ferrari and has become a monk. The man then asks his cousin why he summoned him.The cousin tells him to go around the world to get some tailsmans from the people around the world.
The man obeys his cousin. He then begins his journey.
He goes around the world getting those tailsmans from the people. Each thing represents a message."Be Kind." "Be True" and stuff like that.
When he finishes collecting them all,his cousin tells him the actual reason why he wanted him to collect them, all those messages were to change his life,to help his relationship build back with his wife.
It's got a happy ending.
The book is really amazing! It teaches us about human love and other things.I really like that book. It's written by Robin Sharma.

Re: Book Lovers' Club
Name: PrettieAngel (Or Calixte/Cal from the old forum, if you prefer)
Birthday: 25th October (not my real BD)
Favourite books, manga, comic (up to 3): Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (novel), 3x3 Eyes by Takada Yuuzou (manga)
Favourite genre: Gothic, as a broad generalisation
Favourite characters (up to 3): I don't have favourites
I just watched Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time, and that really sparked my interest in the original novel, which I'm in the process of reading. I want some place to rant about it and this club seemed suitable, so I hope you don't mind! Disney's take wasn't particularly to my liking but the novel has gotten me ridiculously hooked, even though I have a bunch of assignments due in the next week. I really don't want to stop reading it! >.<
Has any of you given it a go?
