Horror love | Chapter 6

✿• Plot •✿
It's October and Halloween is coming up very shortly. Violet Retts is a girl in grade 10 who is quite ordinary. The school she goes to is Rhyfields high school, which is a new, fresh modern school. But people say it already has existed in the same place and the students are spirits from the past. When Violet finds out about this information, she can't turn back. She has been living with the spirits for the past few grades... All the friends shes made... The friendly teachers she has everyday... Aren't the same anymore... After finding that out, someone wants to own her heart so she wouldn't be scared.

Violet Retts
An ordinary 16 year old girl who goes to Rhyfields high school. She is fun and bubbly but can sometimes be a mysterious girl. Violet finds out that she may be surrounded by spirits. She gets deeper and deeper into the secret and finds herself in a new world.

Harriet Park
The best friend of Violet Retts who also goes to Rhyfields. She is 16 and always has a smiley attitude when she's around her friends. Violet thinks she's a spirit, and all might not go well depending whether she's a spirit or not. Her family is rich and she lives in a mansion.
Face claim: Ariana Grande
Conor Park
Although he may look nothing like his sister, he still shares the smiley attitude. Conor can start off by being shy to others, but once he knows the person well, he will show off is true side. Conor can see what's in Violet's mind and he knows she's scared. He has some sort of secret side that he'll never reveal to anyone, maybe except Violet.

✿• Introduction •✿
Violet Retts shakily walked up the steps of the school. Back from the holidays, she thought. But it wasn't too bad, because she's been here many times. Still, Violet was nervous. She could smell the perfumes that other people were wearing. Some people had floral smells, and others would have a strong scent which Violet hated. She could hear people talking and chattering about as she entered the building. Papers were being handed out to people about events that were going to happen. Violet took the paper that was handed to her by another student.
"GET PREPARED FOR SOME MORE FUN EVENTS," It said.
The writing on the piece of paper was all the same as last years. In fact, it was a copy. There wasn't any point reading it anymore. Suddenly, a voice came over the loudspeaker.
"Hello all spiri- I mean students to Rhyfields High School," the voice said. Wait, what? Violet thought. Did he just say spirits? Violet knew that there were rumours around about all the students being spirits. Of course Violet found them not true, but now she couldn't think. What was going on? Is this really true?

"Hey Violet, are you okay?" A voice came from behind her.
"Y.. Y... Yeah." Violet replied, turning around to see who it was. It was Harriet, one of her good friends.
"Why the stumble?" Harriet asked.
"I seriously don't know," Violet answered. "I guess I'm not my best today."
"That's ok," Harriet said. "Everyone has bad days. By the way, do you want to come to my house to study and have tea?"
"S... S... Sure," Violet said. In the inside, she would've said no. Oh no, Violet thought. A spirit has invited me to their house. This is the worst thing I could possibly do. I won't be able to survive this.
"Aren't you excited?" Harriet asked Violet as she hopped into the red Mercedes.
"I guess.." Violet replied. She tried to keep calm.
"So, did you girls have a good time at school today?" Harriet's mother asked the girls.
"Of course we did!" Harriet replied, putting her arm around Violet's shoulder confidently. "That's good to know," Harriet's mother said as she started the car.
The car smelt like vanilla, as it was a new car. The windows were all clean and shiny that you could see perfectly out the window. The seats were soft to sit on, like you were sitting on a cloud. You could taste the vanilla scent in your mouth as if you were eating a vanilla flavoured cupcake.
"We're here!" Harriet's mother said as she stopped the car. Everyone got out. Harriet's place was huge. She lived in a mansion. It was amazing. A water fountain stood at the front. Clean white stone paths led to the front door. Harriet and Violet entered the huge house.
"Welcome," a lady said as the girls came in.
"That's Tina, our maid." Harriet said. Violet looked up at Tina, who was dressed in a nice clean long sleeve black dress with a white apron with frills on the edges on top. Tina had straight dark brown hair that reached her waist. She had a black headband sitting on top of her head. Tina wore small black heels and semi transparent black stockings. She had glistening blue eyes that stood out. Tina always carried a smile with her.
"And this is my older brother, Conor," Harriet said as her brother waved hello. He seemed quite nice from Violet's point of view. He's so dang cute! Violet thought. His spikey layered hair made him look a bit like Taylor Lautner. He had shiny dark blue eyes. I wonder, if he's a spirit too, Violet thought.

Chapter 2: Salty troubles
Studying was over, and Violet and Harriet came into the dining room. It was quite big. The dining table stretched out for a few metres.
"Why do you need a dining table so big?" Violet asked Harriet as she sat down on a comfy red velvet chair.
"Well.. Er.. I'm not sure actually," Harriet replied as she sat down next to Violet.
"Here's the dinner," Harriet's mother said as she brought some food onto the table. She removed the silver lid off the big fancy plate that was covered.
"Bull's eyes!"
Uh oh. I think I might puke. I'm so not gonna survive this dinner. Violet thought. A sudden nudge came onto her.
"Er, yes?" Violet said as she turned to Harriet. Harriet could tell that Violet was stunned.
"Maybe you'd want some more comforting food," Harriet whispered, trying to make things better. "Sausages and mashed potato with salad?"
Violet gulped. What if the sausages were made out of zebras? Oh well. If that's all they supply, I'll just have to go for it. Violet said to herself.
"Violet?"
"Oh, yes, sorry. I'll have that." Violet whispered back.
Opposite Violet, Conor was sitting, texting on what seemed to be a phone. Well, at least.
"I'll go speak to mum in the kitchen and help her out," Harriet said, leaving the table and entering the kitchen. It was only Violet and Conor.
An awkward silence came. The clock ticked as no-one talked. Violet stared at the Candle that was in front of her on the table. Conor raised his head up from the table. He thought that Violet was staring at him.
"So.. Are you okay?" He asked Violet.
"I'm totally fine," Violet answered, putting on a smile to hide her blushing cheeks.
"Oh, okay," Conor said as he put his phone away. He smiled back. "Could you please pass the salt over here?"
"Yeah, sure," Violet said as she grabbed the salt. Or actually try to grab the salt.
"Woahhhh!" Violet screamed out for a short amount of time. She fell off the chair and banged her head on Harriet's chair. At least she managed to grab the salt at the last second but it had all spread on her.
"Are.. You okay again?" Conor said as he put out his hand for Violet.
"Sort of?" Violet said, unsure. She got up, still holding the salt in her hands. "I'm sorry if I looked dumb."
"It's okay, Harriet tends to do it sometimes," Conor said, laughing shortly. Violet put on a smile.
