On my arm.

It doesn't matter anymore. You don't care, no one does.
So I became an artist, drawing masterpieces in my own blood.
First I start with a razor a drawing tool of mine. Sketching across my
arm in a straight line. It stings a little the pain I feel. People worry, what's the big deal? I draw in crimson red because they notice no other color it seems. They don't notice I'm hurting, that I'm bleeding through my sleeves.

I've tried to stop, really I have. I'm just stuck in this depression. Drawing on my arm. People call it self harm, I call it art. Crimson letters spell words like 'STOP' and 'THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR!'. Still I continue to draw on my arm. Hoping and praying I never take my life, hoping I never attempt suicide. That I only scar my skin, cut my wrists. Feel the blade move across slowly and quick.

Comment on this piece was: Don't doubt your ability. You may not be the best writer ever, but you have the courage to write it and to post it here for the world to see it. As for the work itself, I empathize with the entire thing. I know the feeling. The looks. The dread and the slight joy even. I'm glad you're smart enough to write it rather then act it. Keep writing. It's the only way to become a better writer.

I enjoyed this comment because who wrote it is an amazing poet.

Succumbing.

Becoming a victim.
Succumbing to my demons.
Cutting, bleeding, burning, hurting.

Succumbing.
Giving up.
Staying stuck.
No longer fighting.

Finding my place in the ''In Crowd''
Their voices are very loud.
Telling me to listen.
Making me want to listen.

Becoming a victim.
Succumbing to them.
Loneliness, pain, darkness, depression.

Becoming only a memory.
Saying 'goodbye' to everything.
Succumbing to my end.
Before it's supposed to happen.

Trying takes time.

I'm trying to overcome an addiction of mine.
Slowly getting better, it only takes time.

Trying to feel wanted, that I have a purpose.
Trying to believe that I'm worth it.
Trying to believe every life has meaning.
Trying to stop cutting and bleeding.

I will succeed, I will survive.
Staying strong.
It only takes time.
Trying my best, is hard.
Always rereading the story told by my scars.

Trying to live.
Trying to stay alive.
Trying not to listen to other peoples lies.
Not wanting to die.

It only takes time.
Trying.
Wanting to believe it gets better.
Wanting to come back to this place never.

Trying to overcome an addiction of mine.
Slowly getting better, it only takes time.

Finding the beauty about myself in the dark.

I'm a teen going on ending.
Inside I'm empty.
Outside I'm scarred.

I look at myself in the mirror,
ignoring the razor marks.

My eyes are a dull blue hazel.
My hair is dirty blonde,
a little past shoulder length.
My cheeks are a natural blush
My lips an average shade of pink.

I look at myself in the mirror,
Finding the beauty about
myself in the dark.

Like my razor blade.

I fell in love, but it only caused me hurt.
His name is like a razor blade,
even when he caused me pain.
I fell for him again and again.

Just like my razor,
just like self harm.
I fell for him as he wrote love on my
arm.
I fell for him as he felt across my skin.
It's only ever been him.

Whenever I feel down he's always by my
side.
Like my razor blade, he's never once lied.
He told me the day we started seeing each
other.
That I'd be the only one to suffer.

Like my razor blade.
I fall in love again and again.
I hate you and I want to stop.
But loving you keeps me alive.

Like my razor blade.
I'll fall in love with you again tonight.

I'm actually going to kick being depressed to
the curb for a while, maybe a day until I start feeling it again.
I'm happy about this so I want to celebrate without my demons,
thank you. *kicks demons to the curb*
