Monster World: The Underground City Empty Monster World: The Underground City

Mensaje  Joseyposey Miér Feb 26, 2014 12:40 am

Ruby Gardener is a monster. Yes, a monster. A Vampire/Zombie hybrid, in fact. Ruby has lived all her life in an underground city, with only other monsters for company. Being the curious girl she is, she has always yearned to go to the surface. Only when a monster turns 16 are they allowed to go into the human world. When Ruby finally turns 16, she gets what she dreams of- but when a human follows her back into the city, will the price be worth it?

Hello! This is my first story on this website(And, it appears, the very first story on the website). This is a story that I have on Quotev that I will be posting on here for your enjoyment.  Very Happy  I'll post the intro for you to read. Very Happy

   Intro
Hello! My name is Ruby Gardener, and I'm a monster! Oh, you probably weren't expecting that, were you? Oops. Maybe I should back up a bit.
Underneath every major human city, an underground city is home to thousands of monsters. These monsters were driven underground long ago by humans who were afraid of them. But monsters aren't bad. I mean, they're just as nice and civilized as humans. Wonderful people, really. But these humans didn't know that, and feared the monsters. Eventually, monsters built underground cities to live in peace. Monsters have been living in these cities ever since.
Of course, monsters need resources we can't get underground. So we need to go to the surface sometimes, right? That is were the brilliance of our cities come in. Each city has an entrance, a secret doorway into the human world. Monsters can disguise as humans and get jobs, so they can get food, clothes, etc. To make us look like humans, we use this stuff we call Fog. Fog comes in many different forms, from creams to powders to even makeup if some of the girls feel like it. We all apply it before we go to the surface, and the Fog obscures the human's vision so that we look like them. In this way, we monsters have lived in harmony with the humans for hundreds of years without them realizing it.
So I'm one of these monsters. I'm a Vampire/Zombie hybrid, Vamp on my father's side and Zombie on my mother's side. A bit weird, isn't it? Though there are many hybrids in our world, like my younger sister. Laila somehow missed the genes from our parents and instead has traits from our grandparents. My grandparents were Werewolf/Vampire hybrids whose Werewolf side skipped over my father(there seems to be a lot of genes skipping in my family). And somehow Laila got those Werewolf traits. She also has some Bat traits, though we're not sure how. Dad believes she only got half of the Vampire genes, resulting in only having the Bat side. Who knows?
But enough talk of my sister.  This story starts on the day I turned 16. When a monster turns 16 years old, they are allowed to go to the surface and get a job in the human world. I have always been deeply fascinated by the human world. So I couldn't wait until my 16th birthday came. So that is where my story begins. Onward, to chapter 1!

Chapter 1: Through The Portal
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!
“Ugggghhhhhh.”
What wonderful words to start the day with.
I lift my head and slam my hand onto the alarm. The irritating buzzing stops, thank whoever created us all.
Unfortunately, my hand flies off from the impact and lands across the room.
Really? Come on, hand. You can do better than that.
I lift the covers off and shiver. Cold.
Crossing my bedroom, I bend over to pick up my hand. I reattach it to my arm, wiggling the fingers to make sure it still worked. It seemed fine.
I was about to crawl back into bed when I heard my father call from the other side of the house.
“Ruby! We’re going to be late!”
I did not understand what my father meant. It was 6:30, and school started at 9:00.
It was then my groggy mind remembered what was happening today.
“Oh, no! I’m going to be late!”
I rush to my closet, no longer sleepy. Flinging the doors open, I grab the fist article of clothing I can run in and slip it on. I quickly run a brush through my hair and grab a ribbon and my shoes before running out my bedroom and into the kitchen. Mom made meat cakes. Yum. I grab one and stuff it into my mouth as I run into the living room, were Dad is waiting impatiently and Mom is lounging in her favorite chair.
“I aghidenhally het my awarm to hy hool hime,” I say with my mouth full, explaining why
I had overslept. Mom sighs and pops an Energy into her mouth. Energies are a kind of candy invented to help zombies act less…….. Zombie-like. Groaning and such. I’m lucky enough to not need them, probably because of my dad’s side of me. I gulp down the rest of the cake and pecked Mom on the cheek. “Love you,” I say, smiling as I slip on my shoes. She can only nod, but she attempts a half-smile. I admire her for trying.
“Are you ready now?” Dad asks, evidently trying to keep his patience. I nod as I tie the ribbon into my hair. “Let’s go.”
I practically explode from excitement. Today was the day I had waited for all my life! The day I would finally go to the surface! I’d never been up there before, though I’ve heard descriptions of it from my mother. She told me of the fluffy clouds floating over a blue sky, and yellow sunshine warming your skin. Oh, how wonderful it must be up there!
We break into a jog so Dad won’t be late for his job. I call out good mornings to the neighbors as we pass them. My stomach grumbles, even though I just ate breakfast. Well, as much breakfast I could have eaten in 30 seconds. Hopefully I can get something when we reach the surface. I wonder what human food tastes like.
Finally, we reach the town square. Many monsters are here to be transported to the surface for their jobs. It’s crowded, because we didn’t leave early enough to slip by the morning rush. I bounce on the balls of my feet in excitement. “I can’t believe I’m actually going up on the surface! Can you believe it?” I ask, turning to Dad. He lets out an exasperated sigh, about to say something, but then his eyes widen in alarm. “Ruby!”
“What?”
“Did you put on your Fog?”
Oh.
“Here, put this on. Quick!”
Dad hands me a small jar and I twist off the cap, revealing a greenish cream. I quickly smother some on my face and arms. I start on my legs, but Dad takes the jar away. “That’ll be fine,” he said. I nod.
On a platform in the center of the town square, a sturdy-looking Werewolf guards a doorframe. A foggy sheen swirls inside the supposedly empty frame. I’ve seen the Portal many times, but I’ve never actually gone into it. The Werewolf holds a device that he uses to scan the monsters, probably to make sure they had their Fog on.
I can’t hold still. I’m bouncing, jumping, wiggling, basically moving every muscle in my body just to get all the nervous energy out. It seems like forever before we’re in front of the line.
The Werewolf scans Dad, then me. “You’ve applied some form of Fog?” he asks. Dad nods.
“You are free to go.”
“Ready?” Dad whispers to me.
“Ready.” I stare into the Portal. This is it. I‘m finally going up to the Surface.
Dad takes my hand, and together, we step through the Portal.

You've made this a story! So is this still sort of following the same sort if story like the role play? If so, this is going to be an awesome story. Well done my whovain sister.

Kind of. I'm not sure if it will be following the lines of the role-play or not, it may have you as a major character or barely mentioned, I don't know.
