A Witchling's New World

"My life was normal, or as normal as it could be." Ace said "I was at that museum when it all changed. I was studying for a school research paper and I just saw it, a statue. I didn't know why I touched it then but I did and that was the start of it all"
Chapter 1: Stone Statue
*rain*
"So you going to that museum again today Ace?" the bus driver asked "It's a rather gloomy day."
"Yeah I'm going, I need to finish my paper" I told him swiping my bus card.
"Being in High School man if I was you I'd act up, live a little." he said" You're teenager for crying out loud."
"Yeah Yeah I get that a lot" I explained "At least I know I'll be going to a good college"
"Oh. Do you now?" he said in a mocking tone
"Yeah I do. I got my letters of acceptance in the mail yesterday."
"Well ain't that good news." he said "Congrats!"
"Yeah" I said
*15 minutes later*
"Well we're here, have fun with your paper and really congrats." he said as we pulled up to the bus stop "You work harder then most kids now'a days and it ain't easy."
"Thanks and I know" I said getting off the bus.
I have been taking the same bus to the museum for the past week but I never learned the bus driver's name yet somehow he knew mine. As I entered the museum I felt exactly what I felt yesterday coming here. Bored out of my mind. I don't do museums, you just stare at cases full of stuff from certain time periods. Anyway my paper is for school and it's the last one before Summer starts, there is this exhibit in the museum for a limited time and it's okay I guess if you believe in magic. I don't get it witches, wizards, warlocks, sorcerers, sorceresses all of it sounds ridiculous to me and it doesn't seem to fit into a museum at all.
"Man this is boring" I'm talking to myself in a museum "let's see long ago blah blah there was a race of people known as Wizardry's blah blah they held incredible magic power blah blah and were wiped out by another race known only to a few" stops reading "I feel like I'm reading a movie. Besides that statue is just so weird looking, it's creeping me out."
