REG: Lyrics - Zero One

Notes: This song is about a girl who is special needs and who enjoys Winx club just to get away from the torment that the other kids give her because she’s often bullied. One day our character Lindsay sees another girl who is new getting bullied and her and five of her friends decide to try and cheer this new girl up one day, but due to school administration getting wind of the plans of Lindsay and her friends, they come up with some pretty interesting ways of handling the situation, Lindsay is forced to transfer to a new school where she can’t seem to find a steady pattern thus has to transfer a few times in not too short a time period, another girl named Morgan just accepts her fate and conforms to what everyone wants her to be while at the same time being placed in special education classes for an unknown reason. Morgan reaches out to the new girl’s parents but it turns out the new girl ran away the week prior. We don’t know what happened to the remaining four, but that’s all I can say on this song. It’s kind of a dark song about what happens when those in charge turn a blind eye to bullying and don’t fix it right away.

Have you ever been in a situation where you think you’re doing the right thing; but it doesn’t turn out like you would have expected?

Straight from the headlines, scary as sin, a west-coast high school is where we begin. Lindsay’s nonverbal, not scared to get in and keep out of reach from the others again. Because she was an outcast, least that’s what they said and they shouted when being abusive; but this wasn’t typical, because most of the time the abuse she had received was emotional. A healthy Winx club fan, she changed to the minimal, 85 pounds on her frame made it pitiful. Alive in her mind, she nurtured a trust, since that was the only thing they couldn’t touch, she took up winx club to push away comatose, pro at shows; KBase lookups and forum posts, she made 5 friends from Winx club sites, and come to find out they were just like her.

Lindsay’s at school, on the clock waiting, yet another weekday, the kind that she hated. Thinking about winx club and magix to start, other students walk by and demand she stop this. One more hour, and this was a sight; shocked because of the way they treated the new girl. Called names, and harassed means the new girl wouldn’t last, the school was certain of punishment for that. Terrified of consequence and facing the facts Lindsay and her friends made a plan and it hatched. One friend had winx club costumes made, they would emulate winx club to help the new girl. Transform on the lunch break to set some respect, the classmates would never know that they’d be amazed; thought about alternatives, but they refused it, Tired of seeing kids getting arbitrarily bullied.

Next day at school, palms still sweating, tried to act cool, calm, and collected. Called to the office in second bell class, the popular kids had overheard their plans. Staff came in with concerns and complaints; labeled them “disruptive” in front of the class. The A.P. and such had to make an example so they came down hard with the punishments handled. Lindsay transferred out with terrified fears, 5 new schools in last 3 years, Morgan conformed out, she knew what the verdict is, assimilate with them under special Ed. Services, alone in a zone, not a lot to share; locked in and scared under county’s care, she called the new girls parents but they wouldn’t speak because the new girl went missing at the end of last week.
