I write because...
It makes me feel safe
and slightly sane.
As long as I write.
I avoid self-harm,
I don't cause myself pain.

What else is there to say?
It helps me feel good.
With writing I can wage war
with depression everyday.

I write because...
I've been painted black and blue.
I've been shaded in grey.
With writing I'll take these colors
and make them a masterpiece.

I write because...
people like you who will take
the time and read.
What I'm feeling.
What I'm not...

and as long as people like you
keep reading I won't stop.

I'm glad you use writing to keep yourself from self-harming. Not only does that protect you from the razor, but it also helps you create something beautiful. ^^

Barren

Go ahead and try to plant
weeds in my garden.

Not even weeds can grow
in a barren wasteland.

A garden that will never
grow flowers or bear fruit.

Wasting away, lacking.

Not even weeds can grow
in a barren wasteland.

Basically it's about a barren woman and
her having to deal with the fact she'll never
bear any children.
It's bland and simple, lacking emotion but
it's supposed to be.

A very good theme and a good poem Smile

Yunno whenever I think about this theme I always recall the woman from Disney's Up.
I cry each time I see that scene. Sad
