Iris Grace Edwards sat on the bench in the park, the latest volume of Fairy Tail on her lap. The mid-spring breeze ruffled her long, midnight hair. It was an ordinary day for Iris; she had come to the park to read after picking up her morning latte at Starbucks. The grey clouds hung over the sky as usual, and the usual handful of people wandered around the park. Nothing could have been more ordinary.
Iris's icy eyes fell on the book in front of her. She stroked the cover, happily content. There was nothing Iris loved more than a quiet morning drinking a latte as she read a new volume of manga. She opened the book, careful not to wrinkle the crisp, new pages. She begun to relax on the bench, becoming completely enraptured with the manga.
Iris sat there reading for a while, the time flying by as she became engrossed in the story. However, her reading was soon interrupted as a screeching noise reached her ears.
Iris looked up from her manga, startled from her reading. She looked around her, not sure what the noise was or where it was coming from. However, she could not pinpoint it's exact location. It seemed to be all around her, all at once.
It was then that she saw it.
In front of her, slowly fading into view, was a blue police box. With every wheee wooo, it became more and more visible. Eventually, it was completely visible.
A moment of silence followed, the box completely still. Then the door creaked open, and out stepped a girl.
"What the bloody hell?!" the girl said irritably. She started walking around the box, cussing and muttering to herself. "Why the hell did we land here? This wasn't the destination!" The girl hit the side of the box. "Why can't you freaking work?!" She disappeared behind the box for a moment as she circled around. "You're in perfectly good condition! How could you be broken? I've checked everything every day!" The girl reappeared, circling back to the front. "I just don't get it!"
The girl had come back to the doors now. She tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. She jiggled the door, then shook it, then started banging on it. "Dammit! She's shut me out! " She turned around, facing Iris. "What the bloody hell am I supposed to-"
That was when she noticed Iris.
They stood in silence for a minute, staring at each other. The girl wore a olive-green tee, black jeans, and a pair of black boots that reached her calfs. A thick belt went around her waist. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a high ponytail,  and her light blue eyes sparkled with mischief.
Finally, the girl broke the silence. "Sorry, I've interrupted you, haven't I? So sorry. I would go, but problem is this thing doesn't want to move." She knocked the door of the police box. "So I'm afraid I'll have to stick around for a while."
Iris finally found her voice again. "N-no, it's fine. I can move. I'll just.... I'll just go..." Iris backed away from the girl, snatching her manga as she did so, then turned around and quickly walked away.

Iris sat in her room, frozen with shock. Who in the world was that girl in the park? And what the hell was up with that strange police box? Iris didn't know. And she wasn't sure she wanted to.
"Iris? Is everything alright?" her mother asked from the other side of the door. "Normally you stay in the park for hours. What's bothering you?"
Iris didn't answer. She only hugged her pillow to her chest, her manga laying next to her on the bed, long forgotten.
"Iris? I'm coming in now."
The door opened with a groan. Her mother stood in the doorway, short, raven hair wet from the shower. "Iris? Are you okay?" Her green eyes looked concerned.
Iris said nothing. She stared off into space, the outside world long gone for her.

Author's Note escribió:Hullo! Jo here! I got the idea for this story a couple of days ago, so I thought, what the heck? I'll write it. It'll be like having my own Doctor!
So here is the result of that idea. I really hope this doesn't turn out too bad.  Laughing
